Etter jobb med opphenget foran på konas RX450h, så smatt CV / gummibeskyttelsen av drivakslingen. Låseringen ga etter på grun av at akslingen fikk et rykk. Da kom mye greasen ut, og akslingen holdt på og dele seg helt.
Det er flere låsering alternativer, men jeg ønsket å gå for en lik originalen som kommer på disse bilene.
Problemet var at det er trangt å komme til, og jeg hadde ikke låsring eller utstyr.
Men heldigviss så var dettte å skaffe raskt. og Joben gikk egentlig ok. Men jeg burde vært flinkere med å tørke bort greas som jeg hadde sølt ut over låseringen.

After working on the front suspension on my wife’s RX450h, the CV / rubber protection slipped off the drive shaft. The locking ring gave way because the shaft got a jolt. Then a lot of grease came out, and the shaft was about to split completely.
There are several locking ring options, but I wanted to go for one like the original that comes on these cars.
The problem was that it is tight to get to, and I didn’t have a locking ring or equipment.

But luckily it was available quickly. and the job actually went okay. But I should have been better at wiping away the grease that I had spilled on the locking ring.
